My name is Gerard Broughton and I am a former pupil of St Willibrord’s (a long time ago!) and a Foundation Governor for over 20 years. I work as a freelance cycling trainer working with young people and adults to improve cycling in Greater Manchester as well as coaching aspiring riders at Manchester Velodrome. Previously I worked for 30 years in the Banking Industry and for 10 years as a School Business Manager in two large High Schools.

As a governor I am particularly interested in Finance and Staffing, where I have particular experience. And have served as the Chair of the Finance and staffing subcommittee as well as serving on the Standards committee. I am keen to support the new head and staff in the continuing development of St Willibrord’s as a beacon of education in the parish and wider community, supporting its young people in achieving the best that they can.

"I am Fr. Michael, a priest from the Archdiocese of Ibadan in Nigeria. After finishing a doctorate in Canon Law at the Universitá Urbaniana in Rome, Italy, I was sent to the diocese of Salford to work in the Diocesan Tribunal as the Promoter of Justice. I also work as the Promoter of Justice for the Diocese of Shrewsbury and as a Judge in the Archdiocese of Ibadan, and canonical adviser to some Bishops.

Apart from Tribunal work, I have also worked in different parishes within the Diocese of Salford, and in November 2015, I was made the Administrator of St. Willibrord’s parish, a responsibility that also gave me the privilege of being appointed as one of the foundation governors of the school. It is my hope that my presence as one of the governors of the school would contribute spiritually and culturally to the life of the school and itJohn Smith

My name is Daphne Machingura and I am a Parent Governor at the school. I am a proud mum to 3 children at St Willibrord's in year 5, year 1 and reception. I'm also part of the Parent Group that volunteers to help out with various things around the school when they need an extra pair of hands which includes things like reading with the children on a weekly basis, which I absolutely enjoy doing.

I'm a good communicator and relate easily to other people. I quite enjoy talking to other parents in the playground during drop off and pick up times.
